Reverie

If I dropped dead,
The pain would end,
But what if there’s another life,
Born to be damned, replete with strife?
Or even better, an infinite void,
Not life, not death, but just madness,
Maybe a mirage of paradise, or even a true one,
Feelings feeble fairly forgotten, sans earth, sans sun,
Where no souls fly, and nobody calls it home,
Just floating bodies, withering away, yet never gone.
